These commercial buildings were constructed in the turn of the century and were once home to a pool hall, a movie theater, furniture store, and the Bloomfield Free Public Library.
In 1998, after the buildings were purchased by Linda and Jerry Bruckheimer, they were restored to their original architectural style. The north wall of the building still holds the tell-tale signs of the pool hall. The original plaster, still in tact, contains such phrases as “One foot on the floor, “No Swearing,” “Pay for each rack,” and “No Gabling [sic].”
The buildings are now occupied by the nationally-renowned Nettie Jarvis Antiques.
